Jimmy’s at The Landing Tahoe Announces Tasting Tuesdays for Diner Feedback

South Lake Tahoe, California – January 4, 2018 – A longtime local favorite for its award-winning Greek-inspired, Mediterranean-influenced, California-centered cuisine, Jimmy’s restaurant at The Landing Resort & Spa in South Lake Tahoe is offering a special Tasting Tuesday Menu on eight Tuesdays from 4-6 p.m. in January and February 2018, beginning Jan. 9. The Tasting Tuesdays allow diners to sample a lineup of new dishes from the restaurant’s chefs – including appetizer, entrée and dessert – and offer feedback that will help determine if the culinary creations ultimately make it to the menu.

At $35 for the set tasting menu (or $45 for the menu plus a glass of house wine) the new Tasting Tuesdays at Jimmy’s are a “heck of a good deal,” says The Landing Director of Operations Monty Zebisch, who notes, “We have individual entrees on our menu that cost $48 without appetizer, dessert or wine.” Available seating is limited so diners must reserve in advance, indicating they want the tasting menu, and the special offering is limited to a maximum party of four per tasting.

Each Tuesday’s tasting menu will be individually created, but some recent examples from December tastings include polenta with 5-spice crusted duck breast in pomegranate demi-glaze; Ahi tuna tartare with Wasabi cream and soy glaze; braised short rib with fondant potato and haricots verts; marinated red beets with yogurt sauce; and white chocolate bread pudding two ways, with vanilla ice cream.
